the bed was super comfy, slept like a baby! loved the sound of the weir outside, made it feel really cozy. the staff were chill and helped us find a good spot to sit. also the beer selection was great, they brew their own! nice vibe overall.
but the room was small and the shower was tiny. had to wait a while for our food at dinner and breakfast, was kinda annoying.

Excellent on-site brewery with a superb range of gluten-free options made for a delightful dining experience. The staff was attentive, ensuring my needs were met, and the food was fantastic, especially the scrambled eggs. Although the atmosphere was homey, it's a good idea to book a table for dinner, as nearby alternatives are limited.

I really enjoyed my stay here, especially sipping coffee on the lovely balcony while watching horses in the fields. There’s also a nice sun terrace and a peaceful garden area that were perfect for unwinding. The only downside was the low ceiling in my room, but it didn’t ruin my experience at all. ☕

I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere at Watermill Inn & Brewery. The decor felt warm and welcoming. Our room was clean and the bedding was really comfy, ensuring a good night’s sleep. The food exceeded my expectations. both dinner and breakfast had generous portions and great flavors. I particularly loved the steak pie. The staff were friendly and attentive, making our stay even more pleasant. I did face some inconveniences. There was a strong smell of wet dog in the room, which was quite off-putting. The bathroom lacked proper heating. One morning, the extractor fan outside made it impossible to open the window until it turned off. I also noticed that check-in was a bit confusing and slow. More seating options in the dining area would be nice for comfort. it was a nice stay, but those small issues could use some attention.

The cozy ambience created a home-like feel, enhanced by the charming decor throughout the establishment. Unique locally brewed ales stole the show, and the large portion sizes meant you wouldn’t leave hungry, especially after enjoying the hearty steak pie.
The dining area felt less comfortable than expected due to hard seating and bare tables, not encouraging extended meals. During my visit, the wait times for meals were notably long—especially at breakfast—which dampened the experience a little. There seemed to be a limited evening menu as well, a factor that could affect dining choices wanting variety.
